Learning at PCS is an adventure where the expedition is as important as the successful outcome. Our expert teachers engage students in exploring scientific phenomena, solving complex real-world math problems, bringing untold history and primary source documents to life through captivating storytelling, empowering their voice in English and other languages, and encouraging individual and collaborative expression through a robust program of arts, theater, dance, and music.
Our students are the heart of our school, and there is a place for everyone at PCS! From coders to historians, poets to artists, influencers to justice activists, our young scholars create a tapestry of talents, passions, and ideas. We prioritize equity, belonging, and student voice. While our student population is currently 37 percent Black, Indigenous, or people of color, we’re aiming higher. We hope you’ll join us in our mission to make an exemplary PCS education accessible to all students in Santa Cruz County.
Our school is a vibrant and busy community, with many events and activities throughout the year that bring families together, celebrate our students’ interests and identities, and augment classroom learning. Our calendar is bursting with high-energy athletic contests, dynamic music, dance, and theater productions, and student-led and community events.

Welcome to our campus, you’ll find it buzzing with students who are full of energy and eager to learn together. We are committed to fostering a welcoming campus where all students find community, connection, and belonging.
