Adelante Affinity Group Builds Beautiful Ofrendas
Oct 29, 2026 | by Ildi Carlisle-Cummins
Leaders of the Adelante affinity group, which celebrates Latino/a culture and identities, marked the Día de los Muertos holiday this week by putting up altars and pictures of loved ones and PCS students and teachers who have passed away.
Two beautiful ofrendas honoring ancestors-- including recently departed labor leader Dolores Huerta-- are decorating PCS hallways.
We are grateful to these student leaders-- and Adelante advisors Ms. Alvarez and Mr. Salinas-- for continuing to bring this powerful tradition to the PCS community!
