Student leaders in PCS Queer Intersectional Alliance hosted our 7TH ANNUAL Fall Fabu last Thursday. This tradition was started by students and the beloved former PCS English teacher, Ms. Roth, and is Pacific Collegiate School’s annual celebration of LGBTQIA+ community members. Ms. Roth opened the very first Fabu with this invocation:

“Today is a day of celebration and reveling in the knowledge that strength comes from our fabu-ness: our diversity is central, at the heart of our lives, our community. Through this, all of us thrive and learn combining the head with the heart, communing in wisdom and compassion. We are fa-bu.”

The student-led assembly brought guest speaker and local, queer artist, Melissa Marzan to the stage. Melissa addressed this year's Fabu theme-- art creates community-- and described her art, which includes several local murals as well as logo design for the San Jose Shark's Pride Night in 2026. (See more of her work at https://www.thelettermermaid.com/).

Club leaders participated in an after-school Fall Fabu Fair, where they made poster demonstrating queer inclusivity related to their club's interest areas.

Thank you to our student leaders– Daphne Robertson, Fiona Robertson, Izzie Blair, Taylor Garonzik, Priya Gelter and Nico Profumo– who  worked hard to put on another successful Fall Fabu and to QIA co-advisors Jessica Williams and Ildi Carlisle-Cummins for supporting the club.
