Anyone walking the hallways at last week's Third Annual PCS World Languages Fair heard a vibrant cacophony of conversation in five world languages.

Students in all levels of language class taught here at PCS-- Spanish, French, Chinese and Latin--prepared poster presentations that they shared with fellow students, teachers and parents as part of this celebration of global cultures on Thursday, March 20, 2025.

The Student Center was filled with posters and chatter in Mandarin, while French, Latin and Spanish echoed down the hallways.

And there was even a fifth language highlighted in front of Latin Teacher Mary Gardner's classroom-- Farsi. PCS Student Diana Deyhim (pictured below) worked with Ms. Gardner on an extra project celebrating Persian New Year (the same day as the World Languages Fair). Diana, who is fluent in Farsi, developed a poster, an activity where students jumped over a (fake) fire as part of a ritual for good health, and a Farsi worksheet for students to complete.

Kudos to our talented language students and our amazing World Languages Department-- Join us next year, if you missed the fun!
