PCS students were treated to dynamic, engaging presentations by a diversity of professionals who use math and science in their careers as part of our annual Math & Science Day event. Students chose from a wide range of talks covering everything from video game and Disneyland ride design to the physics of black holes, to the use of AI in healthcare. Many of today's presenters came from the PCS community-- parent and alumni expertise and ingenuity was on full display! (PCS Alum Emily O'Neal pictured right  with math teacher Randy Garrett. Click here to see this year's fabulous lineup of presenters.)

The presenters had many compelling insights to share about the real-world applications of math and science knowledge, but they also shared powerful messages about enjoying your career journey (see PCS parent Manuel Prado's slide above) and about bringing skills like listening, honesty and kindness to scientific projects.

Thank you to the PCS Math Department (special thanks to Brandon Summerill) for organizing this day and to Layla & Joe Franks for volunteer support and a delicious presenter lunch.
