Last week, PCS students across all grade-levels were treated to a very special celebration of the Lunar New Year, put on by Chinese Teacher Shangbin Li, in partnership with the  Asian American Pacific Islander Affinity Group and a large number of Ms. Li's students.

During Chinese classes students prepared, learned about and enjoyed dumplings. Students entering campus were greeted by lion dancers and the hallways and classrooms were filled with activities celebrating this important cultural event.

According to Ms. Li, "Lunar New Year is more than a celebration. it’s a living connection to language, culture, and community. Through decorations, calligraphy, music, traditions, and cooking, students don’t just learn about Chinese culture,  they also experience it. I hope these activities turn vocabulary and history into shared memories."

Happy Year of the Horse to the PCS Community!
