Spectacular Varsity Girls Basketball Upset!

On Saturday, Feb 8, 20205, the PCS Girls Varsity Basketball team did something incredible: they beat the previously undefeated Burlingame Panthers, a team that was ranked more than 700 spots higher than our Pumas!
An article in the Santa Cruz Sentinel reported these amazing plays by PCS students,
"Senior guard Addie Payne hit a free throw with 45 seconds left to give PCS a two-point lead. Sophomore guard Nina Gramkowski stole the ball on an entry pass to seal the win.
Sophomore forward Kat Buckley scored 25 of her career-high 32 points in the first half, and pulled down eight rebounds for the Pumas (12-9, 7-5). Payne had nine points, nine rebounds, six assists and six blocks.
Gramkowski had seven steals and six rebounds for PCS, and junior guard Julia Guth had five rebounds and four steals."
