PCS is proud of the level of support we offer all students, including mental health counseling provided this year by two new members of the PCS team: PCS School Counselor David Salinas and Encompass Therapist Emily Rafalski. David is available to students through both referrals and drop-in appointments five days a week – students can access Emily’s support on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays through referrals by teachers and staff.
We asked each of these stellar new staff members to introduce themselves to the PCS community. Emily Rafalski let us know she “wanted to become a therapist to support adolescents during a crucial time in their development" and said that "working at PCS allows me to provide immediate help and positively impact their emotional well-being and success and create impact within a community I deeply care about.” And David Salinas wants you to know that he “is excited to be working in the community he grew up in and is thankful for the opportunity to be able to help students academically and socially emotionally throughout their educational career." Already feeling the PCS spirit, he added, "GO PUMAS!"
